Commercial-Works is the marriage of two great companies, Commercial Movers Inc., and Designed Moves Inc.
Commercial Movers, Inc. was founded in Columbus, Ohio in 1973 with two trucks and four men. Since that time, through hard work and a focus on customer service, Commercial Movers has evolved into a turnkey relocation system that provides clients a comprehensive menu of related products and services.
In 1994 the introduction of Designed Moves, Inc. addressed the growing need for complete project planning and management of business relocations. Designed Moves ensured that client relocations were completed on-time, on-budget and with a minimum of costly business disruptions.
In 1998, Commercial Movers began to offer new lines of contract grade furniture to further enhance our ability to support workspace initiatives. We now represent over 50 lines of brand name contract grade furnishings, systems furniture, case goods, chairs and accessories.
Although, both CMI and DMI have always been under common ownership we have now formally merged the moving, installation, distribution and asset management resources of Commercial Movers, Inc. with the experienced project planning and relocation management capabilities of Designed Moves, Inc. into ONE brand, ONE source, ONE focus and ONE name, Commercial-Works.
